Be Inspired.. To Inspire

Heylos my dear Dost Log..

(By the way, isn't it strange to find my blog post updated so fast? :P)

Every morning, before I leave for work, I have this tendency to pick up catfights with my sister or Mom. The reasons vary everyday. It's like sometimes it's about racing to get ready early or maybe not getting my favourite tees ironed or forcing me to have my breakfast when I am running late for work. Well.. Whatever maybe the reasons, the outcome turns out same. I lose all the time. :P

(Hello? There's a reason for it. The judge is very biased. The judge prefers to hide his giggles behind the newspaper that he holds. Funnily, the judge is Dad. :P)

Ok.. So on my way to work, I have this habit of switching on my car radio and listen to the random talks by some RJ Malishka of 94.3 Red FM (errors and omissions expected) apart from the songs that get played (not laid :D)....

(FYI, the trip from my home to my work place is hardly a four-minute drive. But listening to these random talks on the radio channels are one of the reasons why I like driving.)

... Coming back to the point, so the theme of her show was 'movies that inspire'.

(And by that she didn't mean watching Border or L.O.C. Kargil and getting inspired to start a war with our 'randomly specific' neighbours.)

She spoke about the stories of her listeners like one person being inspired to pursue scuba diving after watching Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara, another one being inspired to conduct 43 blood donation camps after listening to a dialogue from Zanjeer when Pran donates his blood to Amitabh Bachchan and so on.

Somehow we all accept the fact that we like watching movies. Everyone likes watching movies because apart from seeking entertainment from them what we also seek is LESSON.

It is this factor called 'lesson' that actually inspires us to ape, to imitate or to behave as a protagonist or an antagonist does in a movie. Remember this, when we are watching a movie we are not merely 'seeing' it but actually 'living' it. We assume ourselves to be a part of that realistic situation which, in reality, may look hypothetical.

Now the question is how can one get inspired by an antagonist i.e. a villain, a negative character or someone with gray shade of personality? A simple answer to this question is watching Nasseruddin Shah's character from the movie called A Wednesday.

Ok forget about being inspired by a protagonist or an antagonist. Sometimes we do get inspired from characters playing second fiddle to the lead character. (Eg. Ajay Devgan from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam or Nicholas Cage from Kickass) No doubt these are just a few examples to name. But their motto has been the same... 'to inspire' us either directly or indirectly.

There are lot of movies to take inspiration from like Children of Heaven, The Kite Runner, The Pursuit of Happyness, The Shawshank Redemption, Tango Charlie, Heroes, Chak De India, Iqbal, Udaan, Dasvidaniya, The Bucket List, Invictus, Lagaan, The Legend of Bhagat Singh...

These are just a few movies that inspires us and most importantly teaching us an important lesson called HOPE. These are the movies that actually show us that every calamity in life, in fact, throws us an opportunity. An opportunity to overcome difficulties. An opportunity to rise like a phoenix from ashes. An opportunity to find a ray of light at the end of the tunnel. An opportunity to hope. An opportunity to inspire the present as well as the generations that will come by.

This reminds me of a very beautiful dialogue from The Shawshank Redemption: Remember, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.

So dost log... Moral of the story.. Watch movies.. To be inspired.. To inspire! :)

That's all from my side. Good luck. And last but not the least.. Be inspired, stay inspired.. to inspire. :)

The Good, The Bad... The Confused

Heylos Amigos.. I mean my dear Dost Log. It has been quite a time since I updated myself. Well.. that's the reason why I have been absent from the blog. And that's the reason why I haven't really been able to update my blog.

I have always maintained the fact that the core intent of an ideal blog is not about teaching or blabbering long written notes to the readers. It is about sharing knowledge gained through random experiences during the walks of life. It is about being honest with the self as well as the reader.

When a knowledge seeker gets stuck at some point of his life, he turns to a blog in order to either help him find a way or guide him pave a way towards the solution. This is what I have been working on, lately. Well, the intention is not to make it as an ideal blog but to share the experiences.

Having born and brought up as humans, we tend to go through certain stages of life, by default.

  • When we were kids, we went through being mischievous, getting attracted towards toys, board games, mini vehicles, remote controlled gadgets, free gifts, chocolates and many more to name. We kicked our legs, threw tantrums, cried hoarsely, acted like weirdos when our demands were never fulfilled. That was the period of innocence.

  • We grew up from kids to adolescence, a stage where we struck puberty and slowly evolved into teenagers. We got into the web of competitions among classmates, cronies, peers. We felt our hearts beating for the first time when we got into one-sided love (technically known as a crush). The pressure to perform as a student, as a team member, as a sportsman just got bigger and bigger. We grew, our demands increased and so did our range of emotions.

  • Teenage gone... We enter the phase of adulthood. A race begins to chase our dreams, achieve our targets, to get settled in life. We strive ourselves to the zenith of our limits to secure our future. A future that we are unsure of. Practically, we don't even know if we shall be able to reap the benefits of the seeds that we are sowing at present.

  • Our approach towards life became more mudane, more devilish, more robotic and slowly the positive array of emotions faded away with time.

Now, according to me, anything can be classified into three categories:
  • The Good

  • The Bad

  • The Confused

  • The Good generally consists of positive things like happiness, smile, joy to add a few.

The Bad consists of negativity like sadness, anger, guilt, ego and so on.

The Confused consists of something that is unusually usual. Like sort of lethargy, not interested, least important and so on.

The way we approach our life is the way we actually live. It reminds me of a very popular thought that says, "It is good to be Good. It is good to be Bad. But it is bad to be Confused."

Well... Most of the time of our lives pass away in confusion. We do things without having a knowledge whether it is good, whether it is bad, whether it is important, whether it is unimportant, whether it is going to be useful, whether it is useless.

It is sad to say the bitter truth but In the race to earn a living, we have forgotten how to live.

Of course, we would like to categorize ourselves into The Good. We may be unlucky to be in The Bad. But finding ourselves in The Confused category? We ourselves are to blame for it.

Are we actually living our lives? Or is it that we are living just for the sake of living? History has been the witness, we become what we choose. It is upto us to choose to be good, to be bad. But being confused? Nah! Nobody lasts longer in that category.

So here you are... These are your choices that will help you to lead your life! What do you prefer?

The Good? The Bad? Or as usual, The Confused?

    What's on your to-do list?

    We laughed, We cried

    We kept doing things

    That people denied

    Some left us dissatisfied

    Some gave us serenity

    Some kept us dignified

    Some made us feel pity

Of all the things we did

    With vested interests in mind

    We failed to take care

    Of what we have

And made our eyes turn blind

    We drafted our goals

    In our daily to-do lists

    We scraped through them

    With turns and twists

    They said, "You're alive

    Only if you breathe."

    But are we truly alive?

    Just because we breathe?

    We learnt to exhale

    We learnt to inhale

    But sorely missed learning

    To live hearty and hale

    We all are different characters

    Having the same story

    We left behind worthwhile moments

    To chase frivolous glory

    Forget about this thought

As I write down the gist

    To make sure you live

    Your life today

    What's on your to-do list?

    Thank You, My Hero!

    Dear You,

Yes. This letter has been specially written and addressed to you. By the way, I would like to wish you Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening because I know that somewhere in this world you do exist, constantly thinking about my well being and welfare.

Firstly, I want to thank you for being my hero! Yes! You are my hero. And by reading this post, I just want to say thanks to my hero. The reason why I consider you as my hero is because you have gifted me a priceless thing in my life that no amount of wealth can buy me. Through this gift you have made it possible for me to achieve all the other tangible and intangible things that exist in the different nooks and corners of the universe. And that gift is HOPE.

When I was hungry with no food around, you gave me HOPE to satiate my hunger by hunting for food. When I was thirsty with no liquid, you gave me HOPE to quench my thirst by providing me water. When I fell down and failed to achieve my dreams, you gave me HOPE to get up and chase them till I reached my goals. When I couldn't perform my tasks, when I couldn't complete my challenges, when I gave up on numerous occasions in my life, you gave me HOPE to strive hard and motivate myself to come out as a winner. When I felt like giving up my life, you gave me HOPE and provided me a reason to live and to look forward in life. By giving me this gift called HOPE, you taught me and made me realise that the real winner isn't the one who wins prizes and laurels but the one who wins the hearts.

We maybe known or unknown to each other. We may have seen or unseen each other. We may have talked as acquaintances and best of chums or we may have been strangers to each other. But still you proved to be my hero by knowingly or unknowingly providing me HOPE through your actions that may not have been of any relevance to you. Your actions may not have been pertinent to your own self. You may not be knowing what you have been doing or how your deeds are being a constant part of motivation for me. But still, through these 'selfless' actions of yours which may be petty or of meagre importance to you, you have constantly gifted me a priceless possession called HOPE.

You have entered my life in different forms and at different levels in my life. Sometimes you acted like parents who always thought good of their child, sometimes as a friend who always stood besides me at the hour of need and sometimes you came in the form of a rival or an opponent who motivated me to strive harder for success, to make you as an idol and to achieve any possible thing in life through your gift of HOPE.

Currently, you maybe reading this letter taking the form of my relatives, my friends, my acquaintances or maybe as one of the those lots who may not have anything to do with me, my happiness or my life. But still, I want to thank you for all the things that you have helped me to achieve or the things that I am tempted to achieve in future by making me see things clear in my life. This all would have been impossible for me had you not gifted me HOPE.

I wish to convey my joy with you because if you have succeeded in reading this post then I have succeeded in killing any unknown animosity between us. I have succeeded in removing this relationship tag called 'strangers' between you and me. You have reached at the bottom of this letter for one simple reason. Deep within your mind, heart and soul, it is the love and mutual admiration for me that has urged you to gift me HOPE.

I want to thank you for teaching me invaluable lessons that I have experienced in life because of the bad memories we may have had. I want to thank you for all the happiness that I have experienced by the good memories we may have shared. I want to thank you for this little gift called HOPE.

Finally, I want to thank you for reading this heartfelt letter and for being my hero!

    Yours and only yours,
An admirer by the name of
    Bhavin aka Bugs

    Koffee, Konversations, Karma and Konfessions

No matter how hard you suppress your feelings and emotions, someday.. somehow they shall erupt. No matter how often you fool the world or yourself, someday.. somehow they shall catch up with you in the form of KARMA.

-A not so random saying by a random person

(A heartfelt note: If you are reading this post or if you have been asked to read this post, it's probably because you matter a lot to the person who asked you to do so and he/she might want to 'confess' that you are still one of those beautiful colours who has painted his/her happy life through the times that you have spent and the memories that you have created.)

Midnight... Three past something in the background clock... Fighting with the invisible demons to get some sleep. The demons then taking the form of memories.. Funny memories actually.. They make you laugh when you remember some odd tearful memories and they make you cry when you remember some odd funny memories.. All of a sudden an urge to make a coffee for self pops up.. An urge to switch on your gadget and get into conversation with a random friend online.. An urge to confess and spurt out odd things, hardly mattering, that have been suppressed for a long time.. Looks like the law of Karma has finally caught up..

Hello.. Welcome to "the Achilles tendon of life" that deals with Koffee, Konversations, Karma and Konfessions.

Let's be honest. The title of this post sounds weird. I mean it 'looks' weird. But I have an explanation for it. Well, doesn't my profile describe that Blogs by Bugs is all about writing, straight from the heart? Well, if this is the thing that is going on inside my mind and heart then how can it sound weird, eh?

Ever since we are born, there is one particular lesson that we have been taught. The lesson is a simple one-lined statement: The world is round or What goes around, comes around.

Isn't this the same lesson that we have learnt in our play-schools, nurseries, schools, colleges, offices through the activities of our daily lives?

It was one of those odd midnights when I was fighting to get some sleep, out of blue I felt like pampering myself with a cup of coffee and then sitting idly, gaping at the continuous blinking of my screen with some random tweets on twitter, liking some funny updates of my friends on facebook and watching friends playing 'hide-and-seek' (read: online-offline) on my instant messenger. It made me realise how technology has become an indispensable part of our current lives.

Facebook inquires "What's on your mind?"
    Twitter inquires "What's happening?"
(Did I miss mentioning Orkut? Probably that's because it isn't as addictive as earlier.)

And all we do is form the answers of these inquiries in 420 characters for Facebook and 140 letters for Twitter. It is so strange that we have become compulsive, dependant, habitual slave (read: user) of the social networking sites. They have made sure that we don't feel it important to catch up with friends over a cup of coffee by constantly helping us update ourselves just by clicking a 'share' button. They have made sure that we don't feel it important to have face-to-face conversations with our friend by providing the chat applications. They have made sure that we don't find it important anymore to confess about those small, petty things that could make friends laugh when they feel sad and get into serious mode when things aren't taken seriously.

... And finally the law of Karma catches up taking up the form of 'loneliness'. :)

I wonder how many of us can recollect the days of past when...

    1. Coffee was an excuse for everytime we wanted to multiply smallest reasons of our happiness with others and share the sorrows of our near and dear ones.
    2. We just needed excuses to meet up with friends just to have conversations and have updates about daily lives of each other.
    3. We used to confess the funniest things like having crush on our best friends' lovers, gossiping about our best friends' awkward moments, things that we dislike to the person whom we love.

If, TODAY, we are feeling lonely and having nobody to talk to then probably, this is the law of Karma... What goes around.. Comes around.

It is time we think of the times we have meted out bad treatment to the people who treated us good. It is time we think of the times we hoodwinked people when they needed us the most. It is time we think about the blanket of lies we draped on the people who loved us genuinely and without any kind of selfish reasons. It is time we think about the people whose wonderful conversations were enough to charge us up, when we needed them the most but we ignored them at the times of their sorrows. It is time we think to stop fooling with ourselves by toying around with the emotions and feelings who care for us.

If you, as a reader, think that the words written in this post make any sense or bear any authenticity then it is time to get back in touch with those cronies where "coffee" is just an excuse to catch up and have "conversations" about the happenings in each others' lives or serving them with "confessions" where we went wrong.. It's time you churn out your own ideas to put an emphasis on "coffee, conversations and confessions" and let "Karma" do rest of the job.

As for me... I have already had a good dose of Koffee, Konversations, Karma and Konfessions. :)

    The Sound Of Silence

    The sound of silence
    screams at its loudest
    when mind and heart
    refuse to work in sync
    when lips refuse to smile
    when eyes refuse to blink.

    The sound of silence
    tears apart your eardrums
when your life seems running smoothly
but out of blue you get a jolt
and your heart gets ripped apart
by actions like a concealed thunderbolt.

    The sound of silence
is caused by an obscured wound
    you know that it exists
inside you in form of pain
but tears freeze in your eyes
    like a land without rain.

    The sound of silence
    destroys what nothing else can
    like making it impossible
to confide in someone you trusted
    and your supposedly happy world
    suddenly goes busted.

    The sound of silence
    ruptures and punctures your life
    when endlessly you get stabbed
with the veil of smart lies
    your body physically lives
    but your soul everyday dies.

    The sound of silence
    wobbles apart your world
when you think you feel guilty
for all the wrong things you bore
all that you feel all time
your life is synonymous to a whore.

    The sound of silence
akin to eating a forbidden fruit
    or committing an unforgivable sin
which lets you neither die nor lets you live
like an invisible scar that can never be healed
which lets you neither smile nor lets you grieve.

    Ah! The Sound of Silence!

    Vacuum

Ok.. Heylos! To all who are about to read this post.. And to all those who are suppose to read this post. It has been a long time since I really wrote something. Something.. I mean anything.. I mean nothing.. I mean.. What thing? :S

Ummm.. I guess I am one of those from the confused lots who has some-thing, any-thing or no-thing to say about. Probably I find myself stuck in a vacuum mode.

Vacuum? Did I mean getting stuck inside a vacuum cleaner? :S No ways! :|

So what is this vacuum that I am talking about? Ok. Read on.

Before you read further, I would like to clarify that these are my individual views. They may be right. They may be wrong. I respect everyone's views and I am proud of what science has achieved till date. But these are strictly based on my thoughts.

Vacuum, theoretically, is a space without matter in it. (Now, that's what most of you know.)
Scientists say that a perfect vacuum has never been obtained. (Now, that's what most of us hardly know about.)

But honestly speaking, we don't need to be a scientist to create a vacuum because we always experience the 'vacuum' feeling in our day-to-day lives. Technically speaking, vacuum is a hollow substance that has nothing present inside it. Well.. Most of the people like me experience this 'vacuum' feeling or the 'hollow' feeling in the different phases of life. Check out the scenarios:

    Scenario 1..
There are times when we are given spot on topics to discuss about without getting appropriate time to create the 'matter' inside our mind. May it be while participating in a debate, an elocution competition, addressing any issues, giving pep-talks to somebody in need. There is perhaps, a nanosecond (or less than that) moment, where our brain ceases to function and fill it up with the subject to talk about. In this case, our brain becomes the 'space' and the idea becomes the 'matter'.

So, can I assume that by not being able to talk about, I have created or experienced a vacuum for a few moments?

    Scenario 2..
There are times when we go through the ups and downs in our daily lives. There are times when we have enjoyed the accolades and also bore the insults for the work done accordingly. There are times during examinations when we work hard but the results don't turn according to our expectations. There are also the times when we take things easily and the results are quite encouraging and way beyond our expectations. There are times when the reactions of our bosses in our offices are varied for the work we have done or for the project we have completed. But for a split-second our brain doesn't know how to react to the results.

Does that create a vacuum inside us?

    Scenario 3..
We are in love. (Aah.. I guess this one's going to be the most read scenario in this post. Hehehe.) Of course, each and every living being falls in love with some or the other. Most of us either like to hide our love or profess our love to someone through some or the other medium. The result is that either it is accepted or it is rejected. But both the parties (the suitor and the replier) go through a split-second vacuum where the brain doesn't make out what to answer and what not to.

Does this experience also gives us a hollow feeling?

Strange but true: Our bodies are the best available laboratories that conduct unknown experiments on their own, only to notify us what we have really created or found out. Our brain is more of a labyrinth which intends to confuse us who try to navigate through its intricate network of pathways and passageways.

Also, there is nothing called a reader's nightmare or a writer's bloc. It's neither 'all' nor 'nothing' but a vacuum.

Last but not the least, all I wish to say is..... Oops! I forgot what I have to say further... Looks like I got stuck in the vacuum mode again! :)

    Happy reading folks!

    This Is It!

A child and a parent separate with each other due to irreconcilable differences. They have issues right from the way of lifestyle to the way of standard of living. The differences crop up to such an extent that they are compelled to say, "THIS IS IT... I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE." And the rest is history.

A teacher is forced to stop teaching a student because of daily, basic and common problems with each other such as lack of interest among one of them, weak in studies, fussy nature, back answering habits and many other issues that may not be known to the common man. The result of this difference is, "THIS IS IT... I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE."

A friendship that has been of many years, that has been tested by many, that has gone through lots of trials and tribulations part ways by saying, "THIS IS IT... I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE."

An employer fires his most favored employee, who has been associated for years, due to the most common problems that are faced by them such as work ethics, limited trust, payment issues and so on. The outcome is the same. "THIS IS IT... I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE."

A couple, after many years of togetherness, contemplate separation due to issues that haunt most of the people. In fact, the water rises so much above the head that they are compelled to say, "THIS IS IT... I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE."

Hello readers. Welcome back to the brutal reality of life. THIS IS IT... I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE.

Lack of love. Infidelity. Cultural differences. Different lifestyles. Different ethics. Trust issues and so on.

The relationships vary from stage to stage of life. But every human passes through these stages and phases either one at a time or all of a sudden together. The outcome of such stages result to one and the same... FAILURE in making the relationship survive.

Relationship (like food, air and water) is the most important ingredient in this dish of life. It needs to be properly cooked and most importantly served in a better way to make it taste sweeter. The excuses to end a relationship may be many but there are just three (or probably more than three) important ingredients that can curb the relationships to fail.

    1. Communication: It is always important to communicate with each other on a regular basis to make a relationship work. A child and a parent shall never feel love for each other if there is a communication gap between them. A teacher shall never become as great as Drona and a student shall never become as valiant as Arjuna unless the communication is without any barriers. Friends can never compliment each other or stand by each other through thick and thin phases without communication. No employer can become a numero uno in his field of business if there is no transparency in communication with his employees. And no lovers or couples can make their relationship everlasting without communication. probably that's the reason people say, "Long distance relationships don't work and last long."

    2. Respect of Opinions: Accept or ignore this fact, no two individuals can be same. There is always a difference in thinkings of two individuals. This is what gives birth to EGO and ARROGANCE. A healthy discussion is anytime better than an ugly spat. The perfect example for a child-parent relationship is the Raj Kapoor starrer movie Kal, Aaj aur Kal. A teacher may or may not agree to the way a student approaches any subject, topic or discussion may it be in the field of academics or sports. It is probably the lack of respect towards each others' opinions that leads to the cracks in a teacher-student relationship. In terms of friendship going kaput, many friendly duos can be exemplified like Paes-Bhupathi, Salman-SRK. Do I need to say more? Successful business are run because of the repect of opinions of the boss and the worker towards each other. A marriage works and lasts longer on the basis of respecting each others' opinions. It isn't always necessary that a man and a woman agree to each other. The differences may vary from culture and way of upbringing to standard of living and habits. It is this respect of opinion that never lets ego and arrogance replace love!

    3. Reciprocating and Complimenting each other's feelings or views: Mere communication and respecting each others' opinions doesn't work to make a relationship work. It is of utmost importance to reciprocate towards each others' views and feelings. Being vocal may help to address an issue. Lending an ear towards an issue is just another step to approach the issue. But it is the reciprocating towards the views that helps solving the issue. It is important for a parent to shower his/her child with love and care. And it is more important for a child to let his/her parent know how he/she feels towards the parents. Similarly, it is important for a teacher to boost confidence inside a student by complimenting the student's work. Same goes to the case of friends and employer-worker. It is important for a person to express his/her love and care to the partner in a way he/she is good at. But it is also necessary that it comes from both the ends. Most of the relations fail without any serious reasons. That's because of finding it unnecessary to respond to the feelings that a partner showers on the other. Merely seeing, listening and making note of the partner's love and care doesn't make a relationship work. It is important to compliment back. Probably this avoids excuses like infidelity, lack of love and other myriad reasons that compel couples and spouses to break up. It helps in avoiding relations getting rotten like fruits and vegetables.

I hope these steps help people avoid using the sentence, "THIS IS IT... I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE" frequently or at any point of life. Lastly, it takes ages to build a relation but seconds to break it.

As from my end... THIS IS IT!

Kaale Jaamun Ke Kaale Kaarnaame - (The Misdeeds of Blackberry)

So finally I have been able to write something. And look at what makes me write it? My latest prized possession.. A blackberry handset. Ok, to be honest I am very much upset with the blackberry. It's because of this instrument that the whole of India is facing various problems. It makes me feel glad that the Indian government is taking strict measures to ban the root cause of all the problems.. A Blackberry. Here are some of the reasons why I want the Indian government to ban my Blackberry services:

    1. Crores of rupees are stashed in Swiss accounts that belong to so many 'loyal' politicians of India but nobody wants to raise curtains over it because they are busy fighting to curb BB services.

    2. Nobody is having time to save the face of India by helping Commonwealth Games become a success because we are busy curbing the BB services.

    3. We are eager to help our 'neighbour friendly' Pakistan because of floods but we are least interested in saving Lehdue to landslides and cloudbursts because for us BB threat is more dangerous.

    4. Kashmir is burning on fire, observing protests, youths are getting killed. The region is nothing less than a puppet controlled by Geelani, Abdullah and Gandhi. But we are busy sorting out our issues with BB.

    5. Everyone wants to enjoy the battle between BCCI and Lalit Modi but nobody wants to create awareness for our national sport hockey because we are far more interested in saving BB rather than saving our national integrity.

    6. It's worth spending crores of money for security of terrorists but nobody is interested in using it for the welfare of the country. I would blame the BB services for it because their money hasn't reached inside the pockets of our government.

    7. We are lacking basic infrastructure, we lag behind most of the developed and developing countries, our coastal areas still have lack of security measures, our education system has been fed to dogs, our country is being run by under qualified people but nothing can be done about it because first the government has to deal with the BB problems.

Wow... So basically, until and unless the BB thing is not sorted out, our country is not going to progress because BB isn't ready to burn holes inside their pockets to shut the mouth of Indian government. Hail the Blackberry! You have the power to keep my whole nation standstill!

P.S. This blog has been written, edited and posted through my Blackberry!

    The Journey towards Complications Simplified

There is one particular line that has made a permanent impression in my mind. It goes this way, "Truth and Fact are always stranger than Fiction." It's true. Not only they are stranger but also they are bitter. There are some things that reborn, regenerate and rekindle the bitter experiences of past. Some may be able to hide it, some may be able to show it off but the fact remains that such things are virtually impossible to be ignored or forgotten forever. How often do you think does this happen that some incidents leave a bad taste in you and then you move on and then you realise that you never really moved on? How often do you suffer from the aftershocks of any life changing incident? How often do you feel stressed or traumatic about things that happened years back but returns only to haunt you in a much more bigger and a brutal way? How often do you set your pillow wet with tears while sleeping? How often while bathing do you fail to distinguish between the water running from the shower and the tears running off your eyes? How often do you sense the pain unleashing its fatal and (God forbid) final blow? How often do you feel that its time to get rid of all such bad experiences but alas its too late? Sadly, that's one of the conspiracies of Universe or maybe one of the unchanged, read/write protected laws of nature. The fact is nobody has the answer to these questions and even if anybody had that fact remains that nobody cares a damn to explain this phenomenon.

Life is one particular teacher that first takes tests and then teaches lessons. Some pass out with flying colours and some fail worse than anybody getting F grade. So where exactly do we stand in life? And what sounds better, failing in life's exam or failing in an ordinary exam? There are too many questions in life that sound a taboo if asked. There are too many steps in life that are prohibited if taken. There are too many rules in life that are banned if broken. Such are the laws of nature. Such are the conspiracies of the universe. But who made such rules? Is it the nature itself or is it the community with views of anarchy who make such rules? The laws of nature confuse the hell out of me. How does it happen that when we bump into people who hurt us, we actually hurt ourselves more than them as a revenge? How is it that we abuse our bodies more to get rid of the invisible wounds unleashed by the source of the pain? Probably it is because physical wounds heal faster than the psychological ones. There are scenarios where such cases remain unsolved for one simple reason, they don't have any solutions. They remain unsolved right from the mortal world to the graveyard. Luckily, I had all my answers ready when I had completed Complications Simplified.

I can still recollect how Complications Simplified happened. It all started with a short story submitted to the authors of Chicken Soup for the Soul. That story was known as Simply Complicated. The story started with Roy telling his story about his complicated relationship with Melissa, the best friend of his ex-girlfriend Simone. The story ended with Mel getting married and Roy still under the wrong impression. I don't know the feedback of Simply Complicated but my support system in the form of friends urged me to write further in the form of Simply Complicated part two. And that's how Complications Do occur came into life. It started where Simply Complicated ended. Roy introduced another facet of his life in the form of his other friends Rohan and Jenny. He talked about his flashbacks, misunderstandings, separation with his friend and gathering blood and sweat to save his friend's life. The story ended by Roy leaving Ron without meeting him again. I thought that the story was finally complete but there were a few unanswered questions left in the second part. So that's how the grand finale Complications Simplified was born. It didnt amuse me to present this story as a trilogy so the basic idea was to merge all the stories and characters in the trilogy with new subplots and a few unknown mysteries. Lucky for me that the subplots got interconnected like magic. And so here I am, the writer of the unpublished novel Complications Simplified which remains dearer to me than life itself. The story had to end somewhere. How could such a story have such an ending? So it was deliberate on my part to bump off one of the main characters. Many of my support system are still against the climax of the story.

Stories are said or written but not to be heard or read. They are written or said to teach out the smaller things that can be useful in different facets of life. These smaller things, if not taken care of, can create a big hurdle in living life at the fullest. I don't know what did it teach the readers but I know about the things that it taught me. It taught me the value of friendship, the value of love and the value of relationships. It taught me how a spec of dust on any relationships can never be taken for granted. It taught me the value of sacrifices offered by different characters at different stages of life. It taught me how things work out in life. And it taught me how life can turn and declare you a winner even after being defeated.

If the readers feel that I am being biased about this book since it is my book then I disagree. Or maybe I agree. I am biased because this book made me what I am at present. So here it is.. My blessing and my curse.. The Journey towards Complications Simplified.

    Where did this come from?

    An air of caution:

Before anybody reads this post, I would like to warn you not to take it in a bad taste. I wish to apologize to all the people who are mentioned below and whose works are stated below. Also, do not rate this post unless you have read it completely. And finally, do not assume it to be one of my genre or forte.

Ok, so here goes my blog. It has been ages since I could write something. Now this one isn't anything thought-provoking. It's just... Don't know. I leave it upto the readers.

So finally, I had a great workfree Sunday. I just needed to do any damned thing on earth to kill time. Even if it was watching a movie. And maybe fate played a game that I could get tickets of just one movie, "Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai". (Rest all had 'house full' board on the ticket counters. Ain't sure if they were true.) Of course, I had guts to see movies like KANK, Dostana and the baap of all, Naqaab. So it was pretty brave of me to watch JKSAH.

But after watching the movie, I owe an apology. I owe an apology to each and every member who has been the part of this movie. You guys have been the nth persons on this earth to prove me wrong. (Of course, the first people while watching any movies have been the "adorable" people in the film industry namely, trade pundits, media, analysts and last but not the least, 'reviews'.)

According to me, the toughest job in the film industry is to review the movies and rate them with twinkling stars. Oh come on. Most of the times I don't see them giving reviews through audience's perspective. Instead I find them a bunch of funny vampires who are ready to unleash their teeth and suck the blood, sweat and the hardwork of the people involved in it.

Ok. So they are doing their jobs and I really appreciated their hardwork of sitting in an AC multiplex's most comfortable seat, warming their b*****ks, sleeping their way till the interval, filling up their tabloids with cliched matter and a mixture of flowery words which goes bouncer and bonkers off the readers' heads.

Ah! Come on guys. It's time that you guys get lenient over the industry that works hard day and night to entertain the common man (who seeks entertainment in general, if not a complete 'vasool' of money). There have been times when the reviewers have made grave mistakes while rating a movie. (I wouldn't like to name them though.)

Coming back to JKSAH, looking at the 1-1.5 star ratings given by the critics, I was mentally prepared to bear the movie. But after leaving the theatre, I was sad (because the reviews were so misguiding). I must confess, I had to eat my words. I was pretty satisfied, smiling. (And I am sure my hardcore review friends Dada and Aatish felt the same.)

The movie has a story (which I am sure you might have read it in each and every newspaper review columns). The movie features actors and actresses (which I am sure you might have read it in each and every newspaper review columns). The movie has it's pros and cons (which again, I am sure you might have read it in each and every newspaper review columns). So I wouldn't really like to waste your time by repeating them again and again. But if you look through my eyes, all that is visible is the sincerity, honesty and praiseful work done by Riteish Desmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Ruslaan Mumtaaz, Sonal Sehgal, Vishal Malhotra and of course my favourite Farah Khan, (She is the most honest person onscreen and offscreen. She carries her real life character of arrogance with grace, courtesy Indian Idol.)

What surprises me the most is the crisp editing of this movie. Never does it feel like the movie is a drag! Well... That's my review. I am too small and inexperienced to rate this movie with stars. But someday I hope that every man waits with open arms to catch his woman of dreams from Venus.

Kudos to the actors and actresses of this movie. And last but not the least, a pat on the shoulders of the man called Milap Milan Zaveri who has carried out this film with grace.

That's it for now. Time to sleep and fight the nightmares starring the people and reviewers who take this post in a bad taste.. Hehehe.

    Passion and Compassion

Everytime we step out of our houses, the mind senses a bizzare euphoria. Each step forward... and the burden of expectations keeps increasing. If it's a walk towards temple, the expectation to commit less sins increases. If it's a walk to the park, the expectation to stay fit increases. If it's a walk towards our work places, the expectation to achieve better results increases. If it's a walk towards meeting our friends and families, the expectation to make them feel special increases. And so on... But I always hunt for an answer, how much do we strive hard to keep fulfilling our expectations.

"Fulfilling expectations is not just about achieving targets. It's more about mastering the art of balancing the many facets of day-to-day activities. It is more like walking across the Niagra falls on a thin rope with a pole stick of expectations in hand. The finishing end depicts the goals while the rock deep bottom depict the people or elements that want to pit you down." - (ref. The Pink Slip)

While writing this blog I came across two particular words that got etched in my memory. "Passion" and "Compassion". The meaning between both these words are miles apart but somewhere down the line they are interconnected.

"Shower your compassion with passion and follow your passion with compassion." - (ref. The Pink Slip)

If I have to choose the best line I may have written or the best lesson that I have learnt till date then the above statement tops my charts. Consider the following scenarios to justify my statement.

    Shower your compassion with passion.

There are people in our lives whom we love more than ourselves. We categorize them into family, friends and lovers. It's natural that we shower our affection and love for them till fullest. But to be honest enough, our affection and love for them lasts only till they live upto our expectations. And to be more honest, we raise our bars of expectations from them skywards with every passing time. But the flaw is that the compassion, the affection and the love fizzles out with them being unable to live upto it.

Consider this: A parent showers compassion generously on its child by giving materialistic gifts, worldly pleasures, etc. with a hope that the child will study well, get good marks, top the grades, studying in IIMs and IITs, etc. But once the child fails to carry the burden, the compassion turns into hatred, agony, angst and many degrading emotions. A sportsman wins sports, wins laurels for the country, becomes an idol for his/her country fellows and carries a burden of expectations of billions of people. Suddenly, he/she hits the rough patch. His admirers turn into the people who loathe him/her. And soon, the national hero turns into a villain.

The result: The child lacks motivation during his/her testing times and loses the way. The sportsman's life goes haywire. Negativity engulfs the child and the sportsman. And the rest is history.

What needs to be done is being passionate above motivating the child. What needs to be done is being passionate about stemming the faith in the sportsman to hit the purple patch.

I am glad to see parents and sports coaches who say, "I am proud of my child/student even though he has failed. Atleast he/she has given me a proof that he/she has tried." Success and Failure are temporary. Attitude is permanent."

    Follow your passion with compassion.

Let us be honest to ourselves, most of us feel about being at a wrong place at a wrong time. Most of us are trapped in doing wrong jobs for the wrong people. We work as a slave of money. Instead of treating money as an incentive, we treat money as a motive. At some point of time, we get exhausted and we realise that we lacked passion in our work. Sometimes being over passionate backfires. They say too much is too bad, being too much passionate leads to obsession and fatal finale. It is better to keep our passions into check.

Consider this:It is my personal experience. For me, doing business was an incentive but writing was a passion. But juggling between both the activities took a toll on my health. I became over passionate to earn enough bucks as fast as possible. At the same time, I became over passionate to churn out articles, poems, stories as fast as possible.

The result: I couldn't achieve my business targets. My graph as a writer went downwards. And I hit a recession and a writer's-bloc almost at the same time. I lacked passion in expanding business. I lacked passion in writing again. The reason... For being over passionate and mainly for turning passion into obsession.

It's three years since I got out of my worst phase. I am thankful for my failures. It taught me some valuable lessons. It taught me how haste is waste. It taught me how jack of all traders makes master of none.

One simple way of beating the worst phase is TAKE A BREAK. If you know you cannot do it, just don't do it. Like our body, our soul too needs a break. STAY SILENT AND CALM. Like sportsmen say, form is temporary but class is permanent. Don't feel ashamed of failing. Feel proud of not giving up.

I hope these candles of passion and compassion stay lit forever in your lives.

What is this chaos all about?

Ok. So by now, most of us have so many issues in our lives for what is happening around us. We are fighting in our compound for parking spaces. We are fighting with our parents for not fulfilling silly demands. We are fighting with our employers or employees for not achieving desired results. We are fighting with our spouses for same old crap reasons like bad dressing, choiceless food, arguments with elders, etc. etc. We are fighting. We are fighting. And everything that we are doing is all related to fighting.

Forget about decreasing the number of reasons of fighting, the figure isn't stable at all. These bloody 'reasons' don't have stability at all. As if we had lesser reasons that now we are fighting for other reasons like fighting with neighbouring countries for a piece of land. Slaughtering the goodwill of filmstars for their statements. Holding demonstrations for reasons that are baseless. Playing mudslinging matches with each other like politicians to prove that we have balls in our bodies to (mis)rule our country. Misinterpreting the meanings of freedom of speech, freedom of thought and freedom of press.

Today, it is not Bhavin Shah, who's writing this statement. It is me, the common man highlighting the issues that I am facing because of tug-of-war played by the people who are governing my area, city, state and country. It is I, the Indian, who is actually trying to put down my grievances on this post.

My history and geography teachers have been teaching me about India ever since I was a kid. My civics and economics teachers taught me about my rights and making optimum utilisation of those rights and resources. But now I find that those teachers made a fool out of me. They taught me all crap, all wrong things. And that is the reason why I am suffering till this date. My teachers taught me about Gods like Mahaveer and Buddha who preached about peace. My teachers taught me about greats like Gandhi who chased Britishers out of the country through non-violence and satyagrahas. My teachers taught me about Ambedkar who wrote the constitution and making me, the common man realise about my rights and duties. My teachers taught me about Kashmir, Taj Mahal and glorious things about rest of the states that made me feel proud to be an Indian. My teachers taught me about how every problem (may it be related to area disputes, inflation, deflation) has a solution that needs to be carefully assessed before being implemented. The only thing they failed to teach me is a sour fact that the real world is different than the one that I learnt in theory. Let me get you across the problems that I am facing:

    1. Politicians are given more security than me, the common man, inspite of the fact that it is me who has chosen them.

    2. I am facing day-to-day problems while commuting, may it be by trains or by roads due to various reasons like megablocks, traffic jams, bad conditions of roads, ongoing constructions.

    3. I am unable to provide basic necessities of life to my family because of over escalation of prices.

    4. My future generations are unable to get qualitative education because of the 'donations' asked by education institutions of my choice.

    5. I am not provided good entertainment because of the ongoing wars between national icons and national thugs (read: worst politicians. I believe not all politicians are bad. Some are worst too.)

    6. My practical life and the one which I learnt in theory is exact the opposite.

    7. As if I could live peacefully, I am not even allowed to die because attempt to suicide attracts jail and mercy killing is a crime according to the Indian Law.

    8. I can't walk safely on roads because of drunk drivers.

    9. I have to live without water and electricity supply because most of my share goes to the politico bigwigs. (Read Mumbai mirror newspaper for details.)

    10. And my list goes on...

All I wish to ask is whether there is a solution for the problems of me the common man. Or like always, do I have to assume that my precious vote got wasted? We fight for silly statements, we motivate violence in our speeches and thoughts, we damage our reputation among most of the nations because of fighting among ourselves. Today we are blaming Marathis, Biharis, UPs, Gujaratis, Rajasthanis, Tamils for snatching jobs, lands, blah blah blah. Today we are blaming each other for spreading terrorism even though the third party takes the advantage by invoking hatred amonst us. Today some of us wants Vidarbha, Telangana, Bundelkhand, etc. Tomorrow we will demand Mumbai, Kutch, Rajputana, etc. It's like cutting your mother into pieces and telling your siblings to take away the share.

Is this what we want to teach our future generations?
Is this what we want to feel glorified about?
Is this what we call as our values?

I would like people (specially those idiots getting motivated by politicians who apply divide-and-rule policy) to stop complaining about the untidy neighbourhood even though our own doorsteps are dirty. I am a pro-SRK even though he's a Muslim. I am a pro-Tendulkar even though he's a Maharashtrian, I am a pro-Ambani even though he's a Gujarati, I am a pro-Big B even though he's referred as a Bhaiyya. I am a pro-Indian.

I know most of us will just read this blog, then will feel motivated to change the system, then excuse ourselves from really working towards achieving the goal of "One India - United India", then act as if we are sleeping and then we will wake up from the slumber and say "What is this chaos all about???"

    Guilt and Regret

It's 4 am while my hands shakingly kiss the keys of my laptop. By the time I post it, it maybe 5 or 6 or who knows if I shall ever post it. Eyes are blurred. Body is sweating. Legs have given away their strength. And mind is nostalgic. Nostalgic... Nostalgic... Ummm... Nostalgic. Somebody please tell me why am I repeating this word 'nostalgic'. I have no answers right now. I am writing this post to kill boredom, frustration or maybe to kill the inner demon of guilt and regret that has been breeding inside me like a leech. I realised one particular thing. Most of the people fall ill due to depression. But the root of all evils i.e. depression is regret and guilt. Let me get you across various reasons that breeds regret and guilt.

    1. Regret for failing in exams.
    2. Regret for a broken relationship.
    3. Regret for mulling over past.
    4. Regret for not stand up for something or someone during testing times.
    5. Regret for things happening in the surroundings.

Same applies for the reasons of guilt.

    1. Guilt for wasting time rather than studying for exams.
    2. Guilt for not trying to mend a broken relationship.
    3. Guilt for misdeeds done in the past.
    4. Guilt for acting like a coward when somebody need you the most.
    5. Guilt for not taking actions against anti-social or anti-peace work in the surroundings.

All we want to do is blame either ourselves or others. But we don't want to just get over it. I mean why the 'fuck' should we be doing it, right? He'll do it. She'll do it. But nobody says I'll do it. A few days I can across an sms.

"Japanese proverb: If I can do it... You can do it.
Indian version: If I can do it... Let him do it. If no one can do it... Leave it!"

What makes me write in the middle of the night is the resentment that I have been experiencing. Sheer bitterness. Maybe for some of the above stated reasons or maybe for most of the above stated reasons. I want to tell you something. This mind is the biggest bastard that I have ever come across. Like I posted in my previous post "Rendezvous", it makes you remember those things that you wish to forget. And that's how it gives birth to guilt and regret. I wonder how beautiful life would have been if these two villains were never born! I want to share an experience right now. While being asleep I faced my created characters Roy and Aditya. Let me put them as my alter egos. Sounds funny though. Roy is full of sarcasm, stone-hearted, a loser kind of a guy and Aditya is like any irresponsible person with a who-cares attitude. Being the creator of these two characters I can spot the differences (and hopefully you too could spot after reading 'Complications Simplified' and 'The Pink Slip') in their lifestyles and attitudes. But there are two similarities between them. Guilt and Regret.

As usual, there was a tug of war between them where I was the prized possession they were waiting to claim. And the war of words acted like a rope. There have been so many arguments which I don't wish to emphasize. But at the end of the dream, it got me thinking... Is this really me? Man is the architect of his own fate. Is this what I created for myself? There's a certain amount of nostalgia breeding within us when we come across the moments of past. But do they really matter now? Why do we want to go back to those sad moments? I know most of us will read it like any other boring thesis by a pyschology lover. But think about it. I fancy a debate over this topic. Are you ready for it?

That's it for now. A small post but with a deep thinking. Ciao!

    Rendezvous with 2009

Ok... I am bored of writing my blogposts in the same style. How about some change? Today, I plan to have a rendezvous with the year 2009.

Meeting time: Whenever you get to read this blog.
    Meeting place: Your computer screens.

Ok, so here we have a tete-a-tete with Mr. 2009.

    Me: Hello 2009.

    2009: Wassup man! Howz you?

    Me: Happy (chuckles)

2009: Oh yeah (sarcastically)? What makes you so happy?

Me: Well.. For the simple fact that you shall be dead within a span of minutes and never come back in our lives.

    2009: Huh! Big deal!

Me: That's you! Arrogance at its best!

2009: Well.. It isn't me who's actually replying you. It's you who's having a debate with your own conscience.

Me: Lol.. A case of sour grapes. Do you think I should believe you when I know that you shall get vanished of my life after a few minutes?

2009: Well.. It's upto you to decide whether you wanna be a believer or non believer. Because, like every human, you have been given a power of choice.

Me: Give me one good and valid reason to prove yourself.

2009: Ahem! You are what you are because of some of my contribution.

    Me: (silent)

2009: Don't you get me? You are what you are because of the events that you imprinted on me.

Me: Hah! How the hell did I imprint something on you when I don't even have a proof of your existence?

2009:You never needed my existence. I was always with you for the whole year, inseperable from you like soul and body.

    Me: I don't get you.

2009: I was with you in the form of memories. I am with you in the form of memories. And like always, I shall always be with you in the form of memories.

Me: Duh! Can't you just simplify your talks and explain me the connection between your presence and memories?

2009: Ok. How about this one? Do you remember your first day with me?

Me: You mean 1st January, 2009?

    2009: Yeah!

Me: How can I forget it! You took the first step in my life and I started weaving a web of lies.

2009: Now how does that involve me in your misdeeds?

Me: Simple boss.. I had to fool my friends to avoid late night party, celebrate and welcome you. My ass was in the line of fire (like always) that day and I had to keep my face straight without others knowing that I was in a real bad mood for not being able to live on my terms. And the next morning I had a big fight with parents and the whole schedule went haywire.

2009: Can't you think of any positive stuff?

Me: Had you given me any optimistic feeling on your first day of arrival? On contrary, you scared the hell out of me, making me wonder how will I deal with you for the next 12 months.

2009: Well, I did give you one positive thing that day.

Me: (scratching head) And what was that?

2009: Your diary that you start with Dear Diary.

Me: Rofl.. How does it make you think that you shall get the honours of my hobby of writing?

2009: Simple logic. You wouldn't have written it without my existence. Ok let's make it more simple. If I hadn't walked hand in hand with you this far then how would you have recorded all your good and not-so-good memories?

Me: Huh! Good memories. I doubt if I can remember any. All I remember is the not-so-good memories which according to me are worst to be called so.

2009: Why do you always crib?

Me: Why don't you just keep your mouth shut and fuck off? I have had enough of you anyways.

2009: (laughing) That's the problem. Not only in you but in all the humans living in this world. All you people want is to take good things for granted and spill the bad experiences in my name. How can you guys be so selfish in taking away my laurels of giving you good memories? All you people do is force me to take the credit of bad memories.

Me: But that's the only thing I remember.. The bad ones. Even if I try to forget or erase those memories, I simply cannot.

2009: (laughing furiously) Human minds are the biggest hypocrites and the biggest bastards in this world. All they want to do is remember things that they wish to forget. May it be bad days, bad relationships, bad experiences or bad memories!

    Me: (eyes down with embarrassment)

2009: Ok. I wish to ask you readers. Why do I take the blame for your misdeeds? Why do I take blame if something did not go according to your plan? If I gave you the power to become the architect of your own fate then why did you underuse or misuse it? All you guys wish to remember is the day you failed, the day you fought with your loved ones, the day when somebody broke your heart, the day when your closed ones bitched about you, the day when you underperformed, the day when things didn't go well. In short all you guys want to remember are the times that you crave to forget. But you don't want to remember the days when you smiled after seeing your loved ones happy, the day when a member entered your life in the form of your kids, your friends, your life partner, your soulmate. You don't even wish to remember the day when you got appreciated for your smallest of efforts, the day when somebody (who matters the most, parents, teachers, bosses) showered praises on you. You don't wish to remember the day when your favourite sports team or sportsman came back victorious just to make you beam with pride. Grow up guys! I wont be able to come back to repair your 'yesterday'. Why not welcome 2010 'today' wholeheartedly and build a better 'tomorrow'?

Ok! So the interview is over. Don't ask me how it ended. I never wrote this stuff to teach you or preach you with goofy shit teachings. I also don't want to make this sound as if you are reading some motivational book. I have written this post to thank you all for the good memories that you have gifted me through your presence in my life. I want to thank you for not I was without you but for what I am with you.

Now this one's meant for "the missing piece of the puzzle"... I AM GOING TO FIND YOU SOMEDAY AND THANK YOU FOR BEING MY INSPIRATION TO CHURN OUT READABLE POEMS, BLOGS AND NOVELS.

SOMEDAY, I KNOW, YOU SHALL BE THE ONE WHO'LL HELP ME COMPLETE "THE PINK SLIP"!!!

    Happy New Year!

    Sunshine In The Autumn Rain

    Your presence in my life
    At an unexpected hour
    Makes me believe
    In God's miracles and power.
    Your sweet little smile
    Drives away my pain
    Like daffodils blooming in sunshine
    In the autumn rain.

    You wave your magic wand
    When I expect the least
    You change me into man
    From a confused beast
All I can say is that
    Your love makes me insane
Like darkness driven away by sunshine
    In the autumn rain.

    Your absence keeps me waiting
    I feel like zillion years
    Your presence in my life
Curbs down my threats and fears.
    With your love around me
    I have everything to gain.
With us in the umbrella and sunshine
    In the autumn rain.

    Pain...

Its close to midnight and I am still searching around for my thinking cap to turn my thoughts into visible words. In these 24 odd years, I have picked up bits and pieces of the lessons taught by life with a hope to share with you, the reader. Critics think I am a rookie or an amateur when it comes to writing. While my loved ones, near and dear ones (and also those who are stranger to me but still feel connected to me through my writings) think that I am a pro. But my only reply to them is a word of thanks for taking out time to assess my works. All I have got to say is that I am still learning. And learning is not a solution towards problems but a process towards solutions. And who is a better teacher than pain!

Only a liar will say that he doesn't know what is pain. The simple reason is that pain is the part and parcel of life. The only difference is the viewpoint, how a person views pain. Do you look pain as a curse or do you look it as a lesson? The bottom line is how you view pain moulds your character.

Lets have a jamming session about pain. There are different kinds of pain. And there are different definitions found in thesauras and dictionaries by Oxford, Cambridge, Merriam and Websters, Wikipedia, etc. The sensation is the same though the sources of pain are different and sometimes weird too. How do we categorize pain? Pain of loneliness? Pain of frustration? Pain of loss? Pain of failure? Pain of jealousy? Pain of humiliation? Pain of heartbreak? Did I say heartbreak? Hmmm...

In these 24 years of living a life, like every common man, I too have experienced various kinds of pain. Some that were shared and some that remained unshared, locked deep within the depths of heart. I too have closed some of those kinds, tightly inside a Pandora's box. I guess some things are meant to remain that way. But then my only question that remains unanswered is about how to get rid of it. Why is it necessary to carry the pain like an excess baggage while living a life? Why do we look carrying pain as an act of compulsion rather than a lesson while leading a life? How many of us have felt connected by a common thread called pain? I am sure most of the people who have read this post or who are reading it feel connected.

If we conduct a research on the power of pain, we can create loads of thesis about the power of pain. Most of us, look at pain like a curse. Call it politics, sports, business, personal or thousands of other venues, we can still find out easily about the power of pain. The thing that sets apart is the mode of pain. Such is the power of pain that it can lead to avenge, it can lead towards vices or to be worst it can lead towards destruction, may it be mass destruction or self destruction. But is this the only reason why we are living a life? Is this a compulsion to carry pain like an excess baggage?

It's upto us how we want to take pains in understanding pain. Nobody else can help other than ourselves to heal our pain. Instead of making pain as a crutch to which we hold on to lead the rest of our lives, it is easier to make pain our weapon... a weapon of knowledge that can help us learn important lessons. A weapon that can help others to avoid commit mistakes that we ever made. A weapon that can be a source of inspiration for all those known ones and strangers who find it difficult to cope up with it.

If you want to feel and unleash the power of pain over others then show them the power by healing their pain. If it is not possible then show them the power by enduring the pain caused by others. The best way to show the power of pain is by forgiving the source of pain. Because no source of pain shall live without guilt once it realizes that you have forgiven them. And that shall be the day when you become the master. A master that conquered the pain by erasing the word called "Pain".

    Sleepless Nights (Sad Version)

    For how many nights,
you want me to shed tears silently.
    Imagine one sleepless night,
    how it feels?
    Answer me honestly

    Eyes have swollen,
    tears have frozen.
    I wonder if you could
    imagine one sleepless night
    how it feels?...

    How it feels
    to be hopeless
    how it feels
    when life seems meaningless
    how it feels...
    When you cry yet
    The world cannot imagine...

    Yet...
    the world cannot imagine
    the sound of my silence
    the visions of my blindness
    as this was the world,
    That you had created
    While filling my empty void
During those days when we dated

    Now those days are gone,
like a flower it is wilted
now it is me and a sleepless night,
crying in the dark all alone,
all I had was a candle...
    Now even that is melted.

    All I can do now
    is do nothing...
    except waiting
    for a ray of hope
for a new dawn from rising!

    Waiting to see if ever
This sleepless night will be over....

    Back To Monday Blues!

Hello to my readers and non-readers,

It's around midnight and I am busy cherishing the best day of my life. Honestly, I ain't getting engaged or married. I am not giving you guys any hint of shedding my bachelor's tag. Because that's the most precious thing I care about. People think the 'bachelor' tag is a sin. It's a taboo in a conservative society like ours. And you encounter loads of people whose minds run like bullet trains. "Maybe, this xyz is having an affair with someone. Maybe, this abc has some medical history. Maybe this lmn cannot consummate with anyone." Lol! Search for such kind of people and you shall get loads of gossip mongers. Anyways, that's not the topic I want to discuss about. I wish to discuss with you about this best day of my life...

    Sunday. 25th October, 2009
It's not always when you get a holiday from your work, may it be a weekday or a Sunday. And it's not always when you don't plan out your schedule on a holiday. This similar stance has happened today. No waking up early, no to-do lists, no file checking, no assessments, no tasks to be fulfilled, no targets to achieve, no person to entertain... Ah! What a life! It's a fairytale. But... A twist in the story... Does a person (who's not regular in taking breaks and holidays) really like such fairytale life? Tough question. These 24 hours were the most difficult hours of my life. And that's the reason why I rate it as the best. (Because the worst of rains bring out the best of rainbows.) I had nothing planned in my mind. This particular day, I never showed way to my life. Instead, life showed me a way to myself.

    Picture this:
There's never a single day in life, when a person stops planning. Planning has always been a part of a person's life. May it be a housemaker (scheduling daily chores), students (planning to achieve targets), employees (planning to fulfill tasks), employers (planning to increase their net worth) or say beggars (collect more money in particular area), policemen (solving cases) or white-collared bureaucrats (bribe... Hehehe)... Simple is the funda, working styles are different but planning is the core of it.

But today, rules get broken and suddenly you don't have anything to plan about. You just don't want to be a dam to divert the flow... All you want is to go with the flow... You don't have a boss to report to. You don't have a spouse to help with chores. You don't have files to assess. You don't have a girl friend to impress by scratching heads and finding a new place to spend cosy moments. You don't have 'roz ka khit-pit' (everyday tension). You don't have an active mind that works like a ticking time bomb even while sleeping. Wow! It's just so wonderful to live a life without worrying.

Hey, you guys must be wondering, why am I discussing all crap in this blog. To be honest, I don't have a solidproof answer for this. I really don't know the answer. All I know is that this is what I have experienced today. Tension free, care free life... What a day!

Somebody asked me, "What did you learn today?" I cheekily answered, "I learnt to live!"

So guys! Stop showing way to your life for a whole lifetime. Taking a break and letting your life show the way to yourself is always a great option. Now that's what needs to be added in a Sunday to-do list or a Sunday task manager.

You must be wondering what about tomorrow... Well, what about tomorrow? Cherish your Sundays for yourself... And then it's Back To Monday Blues!

Budhi heen Tanu Janike, Sumirow, Pavan Kumar, Bal Buddhi Vidya Dehu Mohi, Harahu Kalesh Bikaar
Knowing myself to be ignorent, I urge you, O Hanuman, The son of Pavan! O Lord! kindly Bestow on me strength, wisdom and knowledge, removing all my miseries and blemishes.

Oh Hanumanji! You are valiant and brave, with a body like lightening. You are the dispeller of darkness of evil thoughts and companion of good sense and wisdom.

Kanchan Baran Biraaj Subesaa, Kanan kundal kunchit kesa.
Shri Hanumanji's physique is golden coloured. His dress is pretty, wearing 'Kundals' ear-rings and his hairs are long and curly.

Hath Bajra Aur Dhvaja Birjai, Kandhe Moonj Janeu saage.
